Frosted Wandering Buddha

This jovial figure roams the countryside, spreading joy and goodwill, especially to children. He bears a sack filled with treasures that he gives to the poor, and a gourd filled with potion for eternal youth. Modeled after a Chinese Buddhist monk named Pu-tai, from the T'ang Dynasty (618-907) whose happy nature and large belly earned him the name "Laughing Buddha." Ivory colored polyresin treated to glow in the dark.
