Shakyamuni was born an Indian prince around 2,500 years ago. Determined to seek an answer to the problem of human suffering, at around the age of nineteen he abandoned a life of luxury by renouncing his wealth and title. After years of effort he experienced a profound enlightenment to the essential nature of reality, the cause of suffering, and how to resolve it. Shakyamuni spent the rest of his life traveling throughout India to share his insight. He is known as the Buddha, or the Awakened One. • made from resin • 2.5" diameter base x 4.25" height Imported from China. Usually leaves our warehouse in 1-2 business days.
