Turquoise Snuff Bottle

Snuff is tobacco in a fine powder form. It became extremely popular in China in the 1700's. Small glass bottles once used to carry medicine, soon found their way as the perfect snuff containers. Eventually artisans began decorating these tiny glass bottles with various forms of Chinese art. This snuff bottle has an intricate design of flowers and fishes. Truly a unique piece for the home.
